Love it, hate it, you can’t really ignore the force that is the X-Factor. And now the show’s huge popularity won’t just be lining Simon Cowell’s pocket. All 12 of this year’s X-Factor finalists have released a cover of Michael Jackson’s You Are Not Alone in aid of Great Ormond Street Hospital. The single will be aired for the first time this Sunday 22nd November, and you can get a sneak preview here. You probably don’t need convincing about what a great cause Great Ormond Street Hospital is, but find out more in this video starring Oscar, a patient, who also appeared on X-Factor last weekend.
You can help by downloading or buying the single to make it number one this weekend and beyond. Sony are donating all profits, and a number of retailers are being just as generous.
Basically, it’s a cheery way to support, and you can get the full details here. Hopefully the single will stay number one till Christmas and into 2010, raising a huge amount of money along the way.

Great idea! I’ll def buy the single to help support Great Ormond Street (even though I am not much of an x-factor fan myself!)
Thanks for posting about this. They are such a deserving cause for our support. x
Thanks Urban Mums London (and, shhh, we used to be X Factor fans until the week Jedward stayed in and that Welsh girl had to leave!). Kinda catchy single, isn’t it?
Brit in Bosnia – thank you very much for bringing this to our attention. We downloaded, and hope a few others did through reading this. x
Hi – just a brief note to say thanks for this article. Very educational.
