Did you receive armfuls of roses, enjoy breakfast in bed and dinner out in a Michelin-starred restaurant? No, me neither. However, I did get something which made my heart melt as though I’d woken to Take That performing live in our bathroom.

Check out those cute little gold hand prints! See how nicely the little hearts have been gummed down! Had it not been accompanied by a sigh and ‘WHY DID IT HAVE TO BE PINK?’ from the giver, it might almost have been perfect.

Hope everyone else got spoilt this Valentine’s Day. And thank goodness for nursery schools filling in the gaps that, ahem, darling daddies might have forgotten…
