Canals and Waterways
Cycling along the city's canals and smaller rivers can give you trafficfree cycling without hills that is suitable for everyone. Most of the towpaths are open to cyclists, and those that aren't, for example the stretch between Angel and Westbourne Park, may be open in the future. You need a British Waterways permit for cycling along many canals and towpaths  you can download these from their website.
