The RHS is calling on school gardeners from across the country as it launches its annual competition. Shining a light on green-fingered pupils, passionate teacher and parent volunteers and gardening teams, the winners will receive prizes that include £500 of gardening vouchers for their school, a Gabriel Ash greenhouse, tickets to an RHS Flower Show and a visit from RHS experts or a top TV gardener visit.
Nominations can be submitted from 11 Jan–28 April at 5pm. There are three categories to enter:
1. RHS Young School Gardener of the Year
2. RHS School Gardening Team of the Year
3. RHS School Gardening Champion of the Year
Shortlisted gardeners will then be given video cameras by the RHS to produce a short video which will be assessed by the expert panel.
