We like the sound of the Early Learning Centre's January initiative, The Great Book Exchange. From now until 31 January, hand your old children's books into a participating ELC or Mothercare. They will redistribute them to local children and charities who need them and in exchange will give you a 50% discount voucher to spend on books in store. Ingenious.
