Angulus, the much-loved Danish children’s footwear label, comes to the One Small Step, One Giant Leap concession at Harrods this month. We love their smart summer boys’ sandals.
Lilly Pulitzer clothing has been part of the American culture since the 60s. It all started with a juice stand in Palm Beach. Lilly, a young New York socialite, had eloped with Peter Pulitzer, grandson of the Pulitzer Prize's Joseph Pulitzer. Peter owned several Florida citrus groves, but Lilly needed a project of her own. But squeezing the fruit made a mess of her clothes.
Lilly asked her dressmaker to design a dress that would camouflage the stains. The result? The Lilly, a sleeveless shift dress. Although her customers like the juice, they loved her dress. Her old school friend, Jackie Kennedy began wearing ‘Lillys’ and they became a fashion sensation.
Available fromWay In, at Harrods.
