I have just returned from a R.E.D.I. (Ready for Emergencies through Demonstration and Instruction) training seminar focusing on Babies’ and Children’s Accidents and Illnesses. In the two hour sessions, we coveredwhat sort of symptoms to look out for, how to deal with an A to Z of accidents and illnesses at home and when to go to A & E. There was some good practical information – from the use of cling-film with skin burns to the use of vinegar with ear infections. Other courses include Emergency Care which deals with treating an unconscious baby/child, or choking baby/child. £50 per person.
