It is to be called the Cupcake Ward — so Georgie took that as the theme for her fundraising. But instead of baking “thousands” of cupcakes, she decided to compile a cookery book.
I wanted to make this cookbook for Lucy. Lucy is 4 and absolutely
lovely, very sweet and cute and huggable.
It isn't fair that she and lots of other children are born with bad
health.
I know that Great Ormond Street Hospital is just for children,as even
my little sister has had an operation there.
Most people don't like going to the doctor's, including me, so when
Lucy had to fly far away from her home, family and friends for an
operation, I was sad.
My Mum and I would email Nicole,Yoyo and Lucy to tell her to get
well and come home soon.
My Mum told me about the Cupcake Ward that was being made by
Lucy's family and friends and I wanted to help.
We make lots of cupcakes in our house, so it seemed an easy thing
to do – have cupcake sales to raise the minimum of £8,943 that
would buy all the things to equip the ward and communications hub.
Then there are the books and fun extras that I want to put in there
too!
That is an awful lot of cupcakes to make and sell,so the idea for my
cookbook was created.
I would like to thank everyone who helped me and supported me
from our friends and our friends of friends for giving me recipes, to
you for buying it.
Thank you!
