Once again, Emily and I visited Pitti Bimbo, the international children’s fashion fair in Florence. We were bowled over by how much more colour there is going to be come autumn/winter this year. Handknitted jerseys are going to be de rigeur; and tunics in all manner of styles and colours teamed with textured leggings. Brands that really stood out were Charabia (available from Harvey Nichols’ Step2), Paul Smith has got another strong season (including delectable floral shirts for boys), Simple Kids (always a winner), the dreamy clothes from Cordelia de Castellane (check out their new shop at 133 Fulham Road) and Bakker Made with Love (some lines in Fenwicks and Paul Smith).
