Further information: Prides itself on traditonal character. Established in 1848. At the outbreak of the war, staff and 70 boys upped sticks from Elstree, Herts (in case you're wondering) and never went back. Hugely successful: regularly produces six scholars a year, including awards in art, music, and sport - one bumper year had 15 awards including 6 music scholarships. But plenty of help for dyslexics/learning difficulties. "I feel the atmosphere of the school is enhanced by different abilities and strengths," head says.
