Admissions Procedure:  Boys can now enter the school from 5 but take a fair number from local schools at 7 & 8.  Space allowing, boys can also enter at 9, 10 or 11.  Basically non-selective: interview and simple test looking for "potential" either academically or as a sportsman, actor or musician.

Children go on to: Far and wide, but Harrow a clear favouriteover last 10 years.  Shrewsbury, Stowe, Haileybury, Charterhouse and Rugby all popular.

Further Information:
Small, nicely old-fashioned school, with average class size of 14. Lack of formal school uniform adds to homely atmosphere. Boys wear navy cord trousers and lumberjack-style shirts (of their own choosing) around school with the school sweatshirt to keep out the Hertfordshire hillside chill. Interesting, upper crust, Old Boys – from Lord Mountbatten to Guy Burgess. Day contingent growing.
