Experience the world's largest maritime museum, filled with inspirational stories of exploration and endeavour at sea and packed to the gunwales with intriguing objects and fascinating galleries. 

The Children's Gallery is ideal for younger visitors, as is the super Ship Simulator. Ahoy! New gallery opened in Mar. Perfect for little sailors. Clamber aboard a pirate ship, navigate an ice-breaker. Suitable for under 7’s.

Older kids will enjoy the Nelson, Navy, Nation gallery including the uniform worn by Nelson at the Battle of Trafalgar, complete with the fatal bullet hole. The role of the Merchant Navy in WW1 is also well covered.

Play Tuesdays: Music, dance and drama for under 5s. £3 per session.

Explore Saturdays: Hourly 12–3pm. Interactive performance bringing maritime history to life. Ages 6+. Free

Discover Sundays: Arts & Crafts. Ages 6+. Free. 

Make a day of it and combine with a trip to the Cutty Sark or walk up the hill to the Royal Observatory and stand on the Meridian line.
