Taylor Wessing Photographic Portrait Prize 2017

Taylor Wessing

The Taylor Wessing Photographic Portrait Prize is the leading international photographic portrait competition, celebrating and promoting the very best in contemporary portrait photography.

Always an a&u favourite, this year the selection seems especially strong. There is a big focus on displacement and refugees - whether migrants fleeing Africa, a traveller in Liverpool or young men facing a Brexit future in Blackpool. Plus guns in America, a glorious photo of Barack Abama and wonderful glimpses of everyday life in shots such as this sandy picnic in Suffolk, Sandwich Thief!

Sandwich Thief!

A hugely engaging, relevant show that holds up a revealing mirror to life in our world today. Highly recommended for all ages. Go!
