The very smallest kids will love the stuffed lions, tigers and the enormous blue whale; move on to the dino-mad stage - can you brave T-Rex? - but that is only the start.

Older children should not miss the Darwin Centre with its incredible Cocoon (home to 17 million insect and 3 million plant species), the Volcanoes and Earthquakes gallery and the excellent Attenborough Studio with its programme of Nature Live events.
