Any museum with the words Flushbunkingly Gloriumptious painted right across it's front sounds good to us.

Situated in the village where Roald Dahl lived and wrote for 36 years this glorious museum is a delight for all ages but is specifically aimed at 6 to 12 year olds. The museum features three interactive galleries:

Boy Gallery

Here you find out about Roald Dahl's childhood, his love of chocolate and his schoolboy pranks. Rummage through Roald Dahl's family photos and smell the giant chocolate doors.

Solo Gallery

Beginning with his journey to Africa, learn how Roald Dahl's experiences led him to become a writer, working from a small hut in Great Missenden.

The Story Centre

Create a gobble funk word, sit in Roald Dahl's writing chair and head to George's Crafty Kitchen for inspiring activities, drop-in crafts, colouring and creative happenings.
