The Art of the Brick: DC Super Heroes

The LEGO legend Nathan Sawaya is back with a fab-u-lous new exhibition DC Super Heros, boy are you in for a treat! A series of seven immersive themed galleries showcase Sawaya's 120 epic Super Hero and Villain creations brilliantly.

Enter the World of DC Comic's jam-packed with members of the Justice League of America including old favouites Flash, Batgirl, Green Arrow, Plasticman, Hawkman and masses more. Then comes The Icons with hugely impressive full-size characters of Cyborg, Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Flash and Green Lantern.

The Fortress of Solitude is a room totally dedicated to the blue caped crusader Superman, five different creations here. Our fav was flying Superman with lumps of LEGO zooming off his cape.

Have to admit I wasn't 100% convinced by the abstract cubed lego creations in the Constructing a Hero gallery, but you can decide for yourself.

Within the Themyscira gallery you will find a very striking Lichtenstein clad Diana Prince, a glowing white Amazon Warrior and an INCREDIBLE interpretation of Wonder Woman's invisible plane.

Pass through DC Light with the not so cute Cobblepot Penguin and Krypto the Superdog before you enter DC Dark crammed with notorious villains like Harley Quinn, the Riddler and a pretty sinister Joker Facemask. The Hall of Justice is hung with huge comic cover posters, the detail is just staggering.

BUT they have saved the best for last. At the end of the exhibition enter the troubled city of Gotham - pass through a gargoyle-lined tunnel and arrive in the darkly lit Batcave and marvel at the STUNNING full size Batmobile created from 489,010 bricks. Don't miss the back complete with winged bumpers and a rocket fueled LEGO flame.

Fab exhibition shop with LEGO to buy but also heaps and heaps to play with plus LEGO gaming consoles too.

Get ready to channel your own inner Super Hero.
