5th London Children's Film Festival
5th London Children's Film Festival 21–29 Nov The biggest celebration of film for children in the capital is 5 years old. There is heaps going on. To celebrate Tim Burton’s patronage this year, kids of 8+ can get cosy in the Barbican Art Gallery at
Burton’s Bedtime Stories Pyjama Party (Sat 21 Nov, 5.45– 11.30pm). Michael Rosen will introduce screenings of
Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and
Corpse Bride, with
a sweet-making and night-cap-making workshop in between. And on Sunday 22 Nov, in a festival first, young audiences (ages 5+) will be invited to play-a-long with professional musicians to two of Buster Keaton’s silent classics (instruments provided). Plus heaps of movies to watch and workshops to join, from animation to film stunts, dance to costume making.
