The Dinosaurs have come to Oxford Street and it is like walking through the set of Jurassic Park. In the temporary space opposite Selfridges a whole pre-historic forest has been created, populated with life-size dinosaurs for you to walk through. There are pre-historic trees, a pre-historic lake and a pre-historic path to lead you past these gently swaying monsters. The hand of my 4 year old was gripped tightly to mine, but there is no roaring, they don't actually eat you and it is really lots of fun.
Once you have taken in the outdoor forest you return into the tent through a virtual aquarium filled with all manner of sea-creatures. You get a chance to feel dwarfed by the T-Rex, peer into the eye of a Triceratops along with lots of brilliant interactive areas to create your own dinosaur.
The cafe is great with soups and salads and kid friendly food. The shop is impossible to walk through without buying something and although the entry fee is high, the verdict of every child there this evening was TOTALLY AWESOME.
It doesn't get much better than that.
