Raise Money for Haiti

Dulwich parents Bert & Emma Suèr and Hillary Peachy have mobilised parents, schools and children in the area to take part in a fundraising event to help the people of Haiti.
 
The Dulwich Table Top Sale is taking place at Dulwich College (Christison Hall) on Sunday 7th February from 1-4pm.   
 
Bert says “There were three reasons why we wanted to do this; firstly of course to do something to help the people of Haiti - we all get swamped with sensationalist news 24/7, but the scale and severity of this disaster is truly shocking. Secondly, there is a massive source of mostly unharnessed power in the community, and it is very important for that to be mobilised, and seen to be mobilised;  especially by the children in the local area, who need to realise what is possible and to see their context, in terms of their society and the world.  And thirdly, a big jumble sale is great fun, and there will be some terrific items for sale, entertainment, refreshments etc; generally a super day out.”
 
Items can be dropped off Mon 1st to Sat 6th Feb, 10am to 2pm at 19 Croxted Road (formerly Stapleton Long) or 19a Half Moon Lane (next to The Fringe).
