The Chinese Year of the Dragon is going to be celebrated in style in Trafalgar Square this Sunday. The procession starts at 10.15 with floats and music leading to Rupert Street and the entrance to Chinatown.

Boris Johnson and Chinatown president Stanley Tse commence the Dotting of the Eye ceremony at noon, kickstarting an afternoon of performances featuring music, dance, Chinese dragons, lions and acrobatics.

There is a grand fireworks display at 5.40pm. Chinatown will be alive with wonderful street food stalls, markets, music and merriment all round.

Bring ear plugs for littles and quite along of bangs around.
