Design a medieval stained glass window, and choose an inspiring array of colours to create a fabulous design for your windows at home.
National Archeology Weekend 19–20 July, from 12.30pm.
To celebrate Olympic year, a weekend of family activities, tours and talks looking at games and sports throughout history. Become an ancient athlete and try your hand at all sorts of games, handle sporty objects from the Museum's collections and investigate the skeletons of Roman and medieval Londoners with possible sports injuries. Travel back in time to 1666 with our magical storyteller and find out about the Great Fire of London. How did it start? How long did it last? How was it finally put out?
Songs of the City 10 August 2.30–4pm. Ages 5+.
Join us this summer to celebrate the capital through song! A special guest compere will lead us through old and modern classics such as 'Maybe it's because I'm a Londoner', 'Oranges and Lemons' and'The Lambeth Walk'. Bring your voices, London spirit and a thirst for music trivia as we present some fascinating local facts about the repertoire.
