Royal River: Power, Pageantry & the Thames until 9 September. David Starkey (guest curator) has brought to life the extraordinary history of London’s ‘greatest street’. For hundreds of years the Thames has been a stage for pageantry and pleasure, a unique venue for royal celebrations, so what better way to celebrate the Queens’ Jubilee than learn about 500 years of history through 400 objects ranging from Canaletto’s and Gainsboroughs to stuffed Swans and Queen Victoria’s hair tongs warmer! Spot the sailor suit worn by Albert Edward, Prince of Wales. Kids will love the huge projection screen with continually changing images of river scenes. Tickets: £11 adults, £5 kids, family £14.50.
