National Maritime Museum
Ages: 5+

The museum, the Queen's House and the Royal Observatory. Open 10am–5pm daily. Admission free. Lots of interactive galleries and trails plus excellent planetarium shows (£6 adults, £4 children. Age 6+).
Lots of family activities at weekends include:

Walk and Talk Saturdays (Age 6+).
JULY: Hear the experience of a real polar explorer, Tom Crean
AUGUST: Find out about life on board a 1930s cruise liner, from dressing up for dinner and deck games to crossing the line ceremonies.

Make and Do Sundays (all ages)
JULY: Draw a colourful map with a compass, mountains and rivers, and find out about making maps
AUGUST: Make a suitcase and imagine you are traveling to another country.


Play Tuesdays for Tiddlers (under 3s) and Nippers (3–5s)

Postcard Home 24 July–2 Sept, 11.30am–1.30pm, 2–4pm. All ages. Tell a friend about an exciting place you have visited. Make a special postcard and stamp complete with beautiful drawings of your memories to post in our red letter-box.
