Situated in one half of the stables of the historic Horse Guards on Whitehall, this small museum opened in summer 2007 and offers a behind the scenes look at the regiments’ ceremonial duties. The working stables are separated from the museum by a transparent glass screen and there is an authentic smell of horse! Fun touch-screen quiz, some dressing up and a collection of enormous drums, trumpets etc used at ceremonies such as the Trooping of the Colour. Best for horse-crazy kids aged 8+.
