The Young Vic brings the spirit of Brazil’s festa of drama, dance and music to the heart of SE1 this August.  Starting on The Cut, a chorus of song and dance will burst into the Young Vic as the myths, heroes and legends of Brazil come to life on the main stage while the audience enjoys traditional Brazilian food and drink served alfresco by The Cut bar.
 
Directed by Cyda Morenyx of Spectaculu, Festa! will be devised over an intensive three week period led by Brazilian artists from London and Rio de Janeiro.  Up to 100 residents of Lambeth and Southwark will take part in workshops in acting, dance, singing, mask work and drumming, culminating in two performances on the main stage on 16 August.
