Delicious Danish delights at new Hjem cafe in Kensington
We always feel so inspired when a school mum goes and does exactly what so many talk about but never get round to doing. Marianne Brammer, danish mum of two, has moved into the old Kensington Flowers shop and opened a really cool Danish cafe, Hjem. Her aim is to sell fresh organic home-made offerings.
The delicious rye bread served in the cafe is lovingly baked by Marianne each morning with the rest of the fresh bakes coming from Danish bakery The Bread Station in Hackney. Her organic coffee (which is really good) also comes from a local roaster in Hackney, Climpson & Sons.
Snap up Danish organic goodies including wine gummies from Hey Yum, handmade marshmallows from The Mallows, handcrafted toffees from Karamelkompagniet, single estate chocolates from Peter Beier Chokolade and teas from Cocoon Tea Artisans.
My brekkie of avocado on rye bread with poached egg was delish. A really lovely neighbourhood addition.
