Cricket Courses and Clubs

Whether your children are at a school where they will be playing cricket next term or you want them to join a Colts programme at a local club, the Easter holidays are the time to get ahead of the game, ditch the football boots and start oiling that willow.

Weekly Club programmes start at the end of April and many are over-subscribed but it is definitely worth ringing/emailing and getting your names down.

The ECB run an All Stars introductory programme for 5–8 year olds with 8 week courses starting in May at over 2000 venues. You can find your nearest and sign up now. Click on the link here.

All of the venues below offer intensive Easter holiday programmes. The MCC run an efficient 2 day series of workshops in the Indoor School at Lords. They are expensive but they operate on very targeted age groups and there is written feedback. Plus, don't underestimate how much of a big deal actually playing at the home of cricket is if you are an 8 year old fan.

A surprising number of parks and leisure centres have cricket nets that you can use and/or hire. Website, mylocalpitch.com is an excellent resource. Simply type in your postcode and it brings up all the local facilities within seconds. Howzat!
