Up in the trees

port lympne a&u travel news 2019

The a&u fashion team were based overnight for our fashion shoot in one of the treehouses at the Aspinal Foundation’s Port Lympne. Emily had wanted to come ever since Radio 1’s Greg James (over whom she swoons) chose it for his honeymoon. Comfortably sleeping four in two double rooms, the large sitting/dining room and kitchen had floor-to-ceiling windows looking out over a wraparound wooden deck with stunning views over the park to the sea beyond. The kitchen was well-equipped and the fridge stocked with milk (and a bottle of wine). You get your own golf buggy to take you back to the main hotel and there is a safari tent clubhouse just below with a firepit. Animals abound – there was a cheetah and a rhino just below us. Other accommodation options include Wolf, Rhino, Giraffe, Tiger and new Lion Lodges plus, for the exhibitionists among you, the Bubble! From £409 per night for 4, including park entry.
