Travelling with young kids always comes with the same conundrum; will you return from your trip more tired than when you left? Unfortunately, if you’ve got babies and toddlers in tow, the answer is generally yes. That is, until you visit Woolley Grange Hotel. Part of the Luxury Family Hotels chain, this hotel is the holy grail of family travel when it comes to having a proper family break.
Housed within a grand Jacobean manor dating back to 1665, Woolley Grange is very much a country retreat, and one where everyone is looked after. There’s a large garden furnished with a trampoline, a giant Connect Four set, a swing and even an outdoor swimming pool (open May to September).
There’s also an indoor swimming pool for winter months and a spa if mum and dad really want to treat themselves.
Inside, there’s a living room for adults and one piled high with toys for kids. But the real winner? The Woolley Bear’s Den. This Ofsted-rated play room is run by lovely staff who will look after your children (babies from 12-weeks to children aged 8-years-old) for a complimentary two-hour supervised session for each day of your stay.
Once the children have had their dinner in The Orangery, they can join in the supervised movie night or, for really little ones, there’s a baby listening service (babysitting can also be arranged). This means you can head to the candlelit dining room for dinner with your other half. Even better, Woolley Grange offer a Breakfast Club service, which sees staff collect your kiddos at 8am for a weekend breakfast, giving you the rare opportunity to lie-in. A holiday with kids where you actually come back relaxed? Woolley Grange, just might be the answer.
