Zoos, aquariums and farm parks are obviously closed at the moment but they are adapting to this strange new world wonderfully by bringing the animals to us, albeit virtually. Cute piglets, exotic frogs or a majestic octopus, there's plenty of fun things to enjoy for animal lovers.
1. Adorable wild boar piglets at ZSL Whipsnade Zoo
ZSL Whipsnade Zoo celebrated Easter weekend with the birth of 5 wild boar piglets. They were born to wild boar parents, Wilma and Otis and are currently weighing just 1kg! See them in action in the video above!
2. Humboldt penguins at ZSL London Zoo
Zookeepers at ZSL London Zoo have been getting creative and have designed and built their very own penguin weigh-bridges. Now the Zoo's 76-strong colony of Humboldt penguins can easily be weighed as they waddle from the beach to breakfast every day.
3. Costa Rican Frogs at the Manchester Museum
Ever wondered what frogs eat or how many species of frogs actually exist? Well you are in luck as you can tune into the Frog Friday Live from Manchester Museum every Friday at 1pm where all of your frog-related questions will be answered live from the Vivarium. Find out more on this fab initiative here mminquarantine.com/frog-friday-live
4. Octopus feeding at the National Marine Aquarium
The National Marine Aquarium is doing a Facebook Live video each week for families to watch from home. We loved last week's installment of live octopus feeding and have linked it above for you to watch. This week families can see stingrays in action plus they have fun fishy craft activities aimed at toddlers as well.
5. Farmyard Classroom: Rabbits and Guinea Pigs at Bocketts Farm Park
So much cuteness in this video! Farmer Hannah heads off to explore Little Hoppington animal village and teaches us about Bocketts Farm Park's rabbits and guinea pigs. The Farmyard Classroom series has a new episode up every week. Kids can learn more about horses and sheep too.
