Children and their families are invited to create costumes inspired by Chac Mool, a reclining sculpture found on the top of Mexican temples and pyramids. Drawing on the history of Mayan and Aztec sculpture and more contemporary performances, families can become a version of Chac Mool, a figure associated with water, rain and lightning. Use a range of reflective materials to create body adornments inspired by the pool in Escobedo's Pavilion, and pose, play and perform in and around the structure. 11-12 Aug, 1-5pm. Free, just drop in.
