Head to the King's Gallery this weekend where you can meet Victoria and Albert in an interactive live performance. Share your own Christmas traditions with the royal couple and help them find the true meaning of Christmas. Or if you're feeling crafty, pop in to a festive workshop where you can make some decorations for your Christmas tree. Ages 5+.
Book tickets for some Instrumental Extravaganza this Sunday where kids can try new instruments and parents can meet the Music House for Children team. Perfect for ages 4–11. In the evening (6pm), families can enjoy Christmas carols, performances and readings at the Carols by Candlelight show. Tickets: £8/£7.
Over 160 giant lanterns are turning Alice in Wonderland into a festive storyland at Southwark Park this winter. Walk through 29 interactive scenes, make a stop at Mad Hatter's Tea and get a photo with Santa! Runs until 5th January.
Why not visit a lovely winter market this weekend? Head to Walton St and Draycott Ave on 1st Dec, 10am–5pm for the Walton Street Winter Market. You can expect artisan food, flowers and gifts plus Christmas lights. There will also be a raffle in aid of Royal Marsden Cancer Charity. Or pop in to the Soho Christmas Market on Berwick St 1st Dec, 11am–5pm. Browse hand-crafted Christmas gifts and drop in for a family workshop. You can decorate glitter baubles and make personalised Santa sacks.
For this weekend only, this heart-warming Christmas classic returns. A little mouse called Eddie sets off in search of Father Christmas to find out why only humans get presents at Christmas. Suitable for ages 3+. Tickets: £10/£7.
Join in for an interactive storytelling session at the Museum of London this Saturday! Did you know that over two hundred years ago the Thames completely froze over? Hear the story in full - sessions run at 1pm, 2pm and 3pm. Free, just drop-in. Perfect for ages 5+.
