Cirque de Soleil returns to the Royal Albert Hall! Their new show, Totem explores the all-important existential questions of the journey of mankind. With aboriginal stories, primitive and modern myths, it is sure to be spectacular. Suitable for ages 3+. Tickets from £48.40. Opens this Saturday and runs until 9th February.

The festival of contemporary visual theatre roars back into town this weekend! Choose from a great line-up of circus, physical theatre, live art, puppetry and dance along with workshops for anyone who wants to have a go themselves. We love the sound of the award-winning physical theatre show BACKUP that will have its run at Southbank Centre at the end of this month.
A special concert for the little ones this Sunday at Southbank Centre. While listening to the wondrous music of Bach, kids can gaze up at the sun, the stars and the moon, and get a closer look at our fellow creatures on this planet. Perfect for ages 2–5. Tickets: £9 adults, £1 children. Sunday, 13th January. 10.30am and 12pm.
Find out what ingenious inventions came from marvellous mistakes in this family storytelling session at the Science Museum. Sometimes things go a bit wrong, and that’s ok! Find out how chemistry mistakes brought us some of the most loud and lifesaving inventions. 12–13 January. 11am. Suitable for under 6s.
The curious little owl is back, and this time she’s ready to discover the wonders of night-time, from the big, bright moon to the bats in the sky and the foxes deep in the forest. But where are all the other owls? Recommended for ages 2–5. Tickets: £13.50 adults, £11.50 children. Runs until 27th January.
