One curious child wants to find out the truth about what really lies behind the wall. Is the Selfish Giant really selfish? And has he cursed the town to a never-ending winter? Find out this Sunday at Jackson's Lane. Recommended for ages 3–7. Tickets: £9.95.
Pop in to the Serpentine Gallery for a free Family Weekend. Kids can join artist Harold Offeh and playfully pose as mannequins in the temporary mirrored studio, The Hall of Mirroring. How do we present ourselves? Does this change when we're looking in the mirror? 13–14 October, 1–5pm.
Snow White and Rose Red – sisters, twins, best friends – have lived in the forest since they were Babes in the Wood. When their quiet life is interrupted by a friendly bear a new chapter begins. But why has the bear chosen them as playfellows? 14th October, 11am and 2pm. Ages 5+.
Watch the animated movie of the Julia Donaldson story with live music by the London Philharmonic Orchestra. Sunday, 12pm. Royal Festival Hall.
or for older kids
Celebrate the 60th anniversary of Paddington with a screening accompanied by a live orchestra. Sunday, 3pm and 6.30pm. Ages 5+.
Pop along to Kidzania this Saturday (13 Oct) and meet a panel of young entrepreneurs who will be taking over the city. Attend Q&A sessions in the Theatre with talented young business leaders, who will share real insights into how they started their business ventures. Interactive workshops too. Inspiring stuff!
