The Snail and the Whale Birthday Celebrations at Discover
Join Macmillan Children’s Books this Saturday 14 July at Discover Children's Story Centre to celebrate 15 years of The Snail and the Whale. Can you find the snails hidden around the garden and unscramble the letters to spell a great big word? Join in the fun and you’ll be entered into a lucky dip competition for a chance to win a Snail and the Whale goody bag!
Little Angel by the Sea at Little Angel Theatre
Someone has stolen all the sausages in this playful show of sand play, puppet making and whodunit mystery. Was it the crocodile with his gnashing jaw? The baby with her butter-wouldn’t-melt smile? Or was it someone else altogether? 13 July – 5 August. Tickets: £13.50 adults, £11.50 kids. Suitable for ages 3–9.
Summer Mile Family Raceday at Ascot
Head to Ascot this Saturday (14th July) to enjoy the Summer Mile Racing Weekend’s Family Day. Little ones can have fun on fairground rides, including tea cups, mini jets and helter skelter, and go on Clip Clop Pony Rides on the lawns. Older kids can challenge one another with inflatable obstacle courses. A band will play on Ascot’s famous Bandstand between racing and there will be special food offers celebrating National Mac & Cheese Day. Tickets: from £25, under 18s go free.
The Muppets take the O2
Kermit and the ultimate diva herself - Miss Piggy will be taking over the O2 this weekend! They will be joined by very special celebrity guests for musical performances, sketches and more! 13–14 July. Tickets: £45–£100.
Shakespearience at Underbelly Festival
This Sunday, families can join Shakespeare's Men as they fly through classics Macbeth, Romeo & Juliet and Twelfth Night in a whirlwind hour of mischievous storytelling. The hilarious show starts at 1.15pm. Tickets from £10.25. Suitable for ages 7+.
