What's On This Weekend 15th–16th February

Plan your family weekend with the kids with our round up of what's on in London 15th–16th February

We have heaps and heaps of inspiration for things to do in London this weekend. The following events are all a&u recommended and should be on everyone's radar. Click on the headers and links for more info and to book: 

Family Fun at Battersea Power Station

There are masses of family activities happening at Circus West Village this weekend and during half term. Children can scratch a design to reveal rainbow colours on specially coated masks, get creative designing their own plant pot before learning how to care for plants at home. They can colour in their own bug-inspired mask and learn more on the importance of insects. Families can embrace their competitive side and get stuck into a range of games and on a grand scale with Giant Jenga, Giant Connect 4.

Half Term Fun at Hamleys

There will be seven floors of free excitement and entertainment to explore this half term at Hamleys. Kids can dress up and pose for a photo inside a life-size Barbie photobooth, journey inside the castle installation inspired by Arendelle from Frozen 2 and discover which Hogwarts house they belong to with Hamleys' sorting ceremony!

Travel back in time to 252 million years ago when it was a time of fearsome sabre-toothed predators, giant insects and bizarre-looking sharks. This Permian period ended with a mass extinction that destroyed 90% of all life, paving the way for Earth’s next great creatures… the dinosaurs. A new family-friendly exhibition opening this Saturday.

Duckie at the Southbank Centre

Renowned cabaret icon Le Gateau Chocolat presents a family-friendly show with glamour and glitz, retelling Hans Christian Anderson’s The Ugly Duckling. Walking a little differently? Sounding a bit strange? Watch Duckie triumph when he discovers that his differences are his strengths. Catch the show between 15-18 February. Suitable for ages 4+. Tickets: £10.50 kids, £14 adults. 

LAST CHANCE TO SEE: Mary Quant at the V&A

Step into the 60s and 70s for one last time! Get drenched with colours and flowers - including Mary Quant's iconic daisies. It's the final week to see this amazing exhibition.
