Following a multi-million pound redevelopment, the RAF Museum is re-opening this Saturday (30th June) and our junior reviewer was absolutely wowed!

The RAF Museum has revamped in bold, brilliant fashion. The old favourites still ever-present, suspended magnificently from the ceiling, but now accompanied by state of the art interactive displays and games in the "Into the Future" gallery. Crack codes, defend the system from cyber attacks, test your reactions and even fully design and test-fly your own plane (from the engine to the paint job!). But it's not all about computers; the brand new "Into Uncertainty" hanger explores the RAF in the modern day, with planes, bombs and outfits from conflicts still going on today, and asking tough but important questions about its future. Something for everyone, an absolute must!

Celebrate the unveiling with the Armed Forces Day Festival! The whole family will be able to dress up in uniforms worn throughout the last 100 year and take a souvenir photo, take part in crafty activities and go on tours to explore and learn more about the RAF. Saturday, 30th June. 11am–5pm.
